Add-A-Name®

If you qualify for in the mail carrier route discounts, Add-A-Name® processing will help you to mail additional households, in your best geographic areas, at reduced cost.

  • Add-A-Name® is the process of adding names to individual carrier routes to equal 10 records within the carrier route.

  • Individuals in good carrier routes tend to repurchase faster than those in carrier routes without good density

  • Customers use either co-op balance models or front end models as a source for building a pool of names available to the Add-A-Name® process.

Add-A-Name® (with a twist)

  • Hotline dedupe processing within Add-A-Name®. Last minute inclusion of hot line names assures that carrier routes are filled with unique names.

  • Built in dedupe within Ad-A-Name® (allows use of front end models and balance models).

  • Extranet hotlines, house file hotlines.

  • Variable adding based on overall “best” score of records to be filled within a carrier route.

  • Adding high scoring records to carrier routes that are already 10+.

  • Ability to parlay the Add-A-Name® universe into a carrier route density model.

Add-A-Name® (the economics)

  • The US Postal Service regulations give added incentive to carrier route qualify your mail

  • The average savings from 5-digit to carrier route is $0.067 per name.

  • A simplified version of a break-even point is illustrated below: If, for instance, you add one piece to a carrier route to go from 9 pieces to ten, your postage cost for the ten pieces actually goes down by $0.41.

  • The postal savings allocation determines the break even point. The break even point for names added through the Add-A-Name® process is lower.

  • Mailers with quantities as low as 500,000 can use Add-A-Name® to reduce their break even point.
